Veterinarians

  • Wayne Ingmire , DVM


    Dr. Ingmire has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1975 when he completed his university studies.  He received both his B.S. in Agriculture and his D.V.M. from Kansas State University in 1975.  "Dr. Wayne", or as he is affectionately called by his clients "Doc" opened Mokena Animal Clinic in 1982 at the corner of 191st and Wolf Road, and later built our current clinic in 1997. Doc lives in the area with his wife, Jane, a dog-Buster, a cat-Snuggles, and a guinea pig-Chester.  He is the father of two; a son, Steve, and a daughter, Katie. Steve and his wife Sarah have three little boys that keep their proud grandpa very busy.  "Dr. Wayne" enjoys cycling and singing in the church choir.

  • Kate Ball , DVM


    Dr. Kate Ball earned her B.S. in 1991 at the University of Illinois College of Liberal Arts and Science, and in 1995 was awarded her D.V.M. from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine.  Dr. Kate lives in the area with her husband, Dr. Dan Ball, on 10 acres where they have a large animal family.  "Dr. Kate" and "Dr. Dan" share their home with 2 dogs, 2 house cats, 3 lizards, a tortoise, 2 snakes, a horse, 2 mini-donkeys, and some assorted aquarium fish and barn cats.  "Dr. Kate" enjoys gardening, cooking, and wildlife rehabilitation.
     
  • Mary Beth Wajda , DVM


    Dr. Mary Beth Wajda earned her B.S. degree in 1991 from Illinois Benedictine College, and in 1995 was awarded her D.V.M. from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. She joined Mokena AC in 2006, bringing with her many years of practical experience in small animal, exotics, avian and reptile medicine and surgery. Dr. Wajda  lives in the area with her three dogs, Frankie, Ricochet and Rev;  two cats, Confetti and Embassy and a rabbit Sunoco. "Dr. Mary Beth" volunteers with many associations and groups such as Therapy Dogs Int'l and Canine Companions for Independence. She enjoys working with her dogs Rev and  Frankie in agility classes and trials.

  • Audrey Fazio , DVM


    Dr. Audrey Fazio earned her B.S. in 2004 at the Middle Tennessee State University of Liberal Arts and Science, and in 2008 was awarded her DVM from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine.  Dr. Fazio joined Mokena AC after graduation in June of 2008.  She lives in the area with her husband Rob, they share their home with 2 dogs Dumplin and Dudley
  • Robert "Bob" Summers , D.V.M.


     

    Dr. Robert "Bob" Summers earned his B.S. in 1993 at the University of Illinois College of Liberal Arts and Science, and in 1995 he was awarded his D.V.M. from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Bob joined Mokena AC in 2010, bringing with him many years of practical experience in small animal medicine. He has also worked in emergency and relief veterinary medicine. He lives in the area with his wife, Dr. Michelle also a veterinarian; they share their home with 6 cats and 1 dog.
